Seems as if a UVA first year student decided to do a little ‘old school protesting’ and got taken down by a crowd as he asked George Allen why he spit in the face of his first wife. When the Senator didn’t respond the student decided to become “aggressive.” I wonder why the student didn’t just stand on a railing and start screaming macaca over and over again. Macaca…macaca…macaca…And then the bananas would start flying.
This story even made it on to Drudge earlier today (when C-Ville makes it to drudge you know the town will be stoked the next day). If only I had been there to get a picture or two of the take down. I wonder if they roughed him up? Will he now get sent to Guantanamo? Never mess with Allen…he’ll shoot you, chop your head off, and stick it in a mailbox (if you are a minority). He is one tough ass dude.

Always interesting to see which details appear on which site. I did know UVA allowed any old students. I guess the guy has REALLY rich parents.
Have you seen the video from CNN? – you know I don’t care who he is – but he was manhandled by the Allen bullies. Money or not he had a right to ask questions – besides why can’t Allen answer them? – he is a bit racist and he is just digging himself into a deeper and deeper hole.
On the plus side, I’m hopeful that this will swing some of the undecideds toward Webb. It’s almost as if Allen is methodically trying to see just how high public tolerance for offensive behavior actually is. “How about a little racism? Hmm. Still have supporters. Maybe some anti-Semitism (despite my ‘unknowingly’ being a Jew)? Wow. Still have a lead. A couple of arrests in college, which I refuse to explain? Gosh, these people really are loyal. Got it! I can have my lackeys rough up a guy, merely for asking a question. Maybe that will do it!” We can only hope.
How can a political race between a racist Jewish GOB and a misogynist kiddie-porn author manage to be so godawful boring? Maybe it’s just me. At least it’s more entertaining than if they discussed actual civic issues. That would be like admitting that the issues are too complex to fit on a smug bumper sticker. Voter = tool.
The funny part of the whole thing is that the student that attacked the racist guy got a radio announcing job due to the press of his attack.
In the Cavalier Daily today there was an article about how to be an entrepreneur while you are a student, so I guess he is the prime example of UVA student success.
Basic lesson: attacking a politician will get you a job. Politics 101.
