Ohhh…what an exciting night here in VA. Can Macaca Man hold on to his Senate seat? Will VA ban gays? (OK..that already passed by a wide margin)
As results trickle in (not a single vote from the village has made it to CNN’s ticker yet) Macaca continues to lead by a tad under 1%. One woman was running as an independent and the day before the election she said anti-Macaca Man was not as evil as the M himself – a rather lackluster endorsement.
In any event, if she had not run for the office “the author” would have had a slight lead all night. Will it turn out that the 1% of voters will lead to the crowning of Macaca? A deer head in every pot!
I’m still predicting that Macaca will win by a narrow margin (due entirely to the independent candidate). Now…time to sleep. Overworked, underpaid, and just wondering when it will end…the American dream.
Still not a single vote from the village has made it in. Maybe the mule kicked over since it was already exhausted from bringing the mail in to town.
If the votes ever do get counted I’m willing to bet not many go to Macaca man. The only hope for the author.
I woke up so I took a look at the current numbers. Still close. If the independent hadn’t run Macaca would have already lost.
Did Parker kill the spider rather than letting the super powers emerge? Time to go back to bed and dream about clicking my heels together to go to a happy place.

Webb declared winner??? recount bound to happen.
Allen had a very small lead I understand in the last election before this – recount did not change anything. Well, Allen had 9 days to ask for recount – we will see…
Looks like AP and Reuters have just declared that Webb will be the winner. Definitely the biggest upset of the election. Three months ago Allen had a 20 point lead. A few macacas, deer heads, religious denials, and hog collaring of people by his thugs seems to have done him in.
The ads he ran were the most negative I’d ever seen.
The best thing about elections: No more of those stupid nasty ads.

Allen concedes at last… now what?
Democrats have the majority in the senate and the house. No one has a 2/3rd majority to automatically push things thru. They will still have to ALL come up with a way to make things work. One of the first things is to remember to connect their brains – remove their feet from their mouths -before they speak…!
I trust soon many will stop gloating and actually DO something NOW!!! Be Americans and forget about whose party is better. Live up to the faith that the nation has put in you.

But, JJ , I am NOT a republican – so how could you vote for me? I AM an independent. Whose to say – if I ran for office I might possibily be living in you state. Hmmm?

I saw the macaca video on CNN a while back – Hurrah for Viginia for dumping the racist good ole boy. Now if only Webb can be part of some positive solutions – Be nice for a change.
PS – Even if you’re confused about your orientation, or mine, the fact is that I vote for the person with integrity and vision. That rules out most politicians. I don’t vote straight party tickets, by default. I feel that the Republican party doesn’t represent my views. The Democrats don’t typically have any vision and talk out their asses.
So, I’d probably vote for you as a real departure from business as usual!

I know a few republicans who typically talk out of their asses – I would say that most politicians do talk out of their asses unfortunatly.
