Just like an ancient Greek bird…outskirts has risen from the ashes of the California fires. The site is no longer sitting on an 8 year old computer that sits under a mostly empty bottle of vodka and spider webs in the corner of my house.
Now, what happened in the village while I was gone? Nothing. Should I have expected something to happen? I must, I must, I must decrease my expectations.

thrilled and appreciative that things are back up - pleased that after all the mishigash - you are rested. oy to the vey! you had a week - jeez. thanks for all your efforts.

All kinds of things happened during your absence! The city put up signs at 9th and Market and 10th and West Main reminding drivers that, “Turning Traffic Must Yield to Pedestrians” and the city also turned the on the Mall Christmas tree lights. Now isn’t that exciting!
Why didn’t you run the Fourth Year 5k yesterday?
I “chose not to run” as someone famous once said. Actually, I’d had no sleep for 36 straight hour on a redeye flight on Thursday night… so didn’t really see much until 11am on Saturday.
Yield to pedestrians? Never.
How can the village afford electricity?
