After reading some of the stories in the press about this, I think the most amazing thing is how Star Trek had inspired some many people to study science/engineering over the past 30 years.
Talk or think about how you might be making a difference in the world and you just have to be amazed at what Gene Roddenberry really created with his simple morality stories set in a “space submarine.”
I count myself as one of those people that found science in any form something “cool” or interesting after being steeped in the ideas of the Star Trek universe as a kid.
