It is hot. Over 90 every day this week. Humid. The last two days we’ve had a few thunderstorms. There are a few rolling towards the house that may strike in an hour or so, or they could dwindle down to nothing. One never knows.
I went out and saw War of the Worlds today at one of the local non-stadium theaters. I had promised to never see another movie here until we got stadium seating. That was four years ago. No stadium seating seems to be arriving in this decade.
I won’t give away the scientology of the film or anything like that, but keep an eye on the rotating earth at the very start of the movie, and the position of the sun. Let me know when the science of the movie starts to fall apart. It was a rather traditional summer action flick, but the kid should have done about 70% less screaming (I stole that remark..but hey, I agree).
The summer seems to be rolling by so quickly. The relentless hum of air conditioners never cease. The pace of the village never changes.
