I went out and voted. I voted for this guy.
How is there any way you can’t. After all, he’s the devil!1 He tends to disagree with everything the rest of the traditional village agrees with. Since the village has issues, someone needs to disagree, otherwise this area is more like a group of zombies controlled by Landru.

I voted for him too but you’re wrong. He can’t be the devil because he’s the choir director for St. Thomas Catholic Church!

No, I won’t be there. If I can’t walk, run, or bike to the race in less than twenty minutes I don’t go. I’m a city type of guy living in a village. In Michigan I ran 54 races in one year without having to go more than than 15 minutes away. In this village the races basically end in the middle of April, and don’t start up again until October. I get my 25 miles in every week anyway.
I guess the lack of races for most of the year is a southern type of thing. Do nothing all summer other than smoke and drink mint juleps. One 23,000 have gotten totally drunk and watched horses run around the village shuts down.
A pity Rob S. didn’t win. He was the only one that ever pointed out the foolishness of many things that are done here in the village. A loss to the village.
I was surprised by how badly Rob lost. I think that being a member of George W. Bush’s party cost him. I also think that fewer people voted for just him this time and instead gave a vote to one of his opponents. Really though, it doesn’t matter who is on city council as long as we have the weak mayor form of city government. When we can vote for the person who actually runs the city, i.e. the city manager, then the voters will have some meaningful control over what happens in this city.
