So I popped over to The X Lounge for happy hour this evening. If you are looking for the place to be, this is the spot. The martinis were fabulous and the atmosphere was like NYC or SanFran. It is smoke free indoors which makes a gigantic difference! It feels intelligent inside.
Once I try the food it may become my new favorite spot in town. Stay tuned for a few pictures tomorrow (or Sunday), and quick review of the food in the next week or two.
Wow. I can’t believe this place is in C-Ville. A bit of modernization trickles in. Now, where is HDTV and where are the stadium seating theaters. And of course, where is reasonable weather. Our forecast for the next ten days averages 98 degrees every day. Go global warming.

If it’s really as good as you say, I expect it to go out of business in 6 months because it’ll just to too much for Villagers to take in.
Then again, maybe not. The Village prides itself on trying to be more cosmopolitan than it really is. Kind of like how the Waa-Hoos think every fall that they have a real football team and for a few games at least believe they are in the same league as Bama or Texas or Michigan.
Keep dreaming….
M Go Blue!
This place is so un-C-Ville-like that a French woman who used to play with the Go-Go’s was there. The big question is are there enough non-villagers here in the village to keep them in business, since you are right, the typical villager would not like it at all. The lack of smoking is still freaking me out.
PS. Of course don’t get the idea that this makes me like the village or anything like that. If they are making places like that here, imagine what they are doing in the real world. It blows the mind.
So - Outskirts Guy - where is the Doc?
So how was the food?
But the more important question is: Did the french chick ever play with DMB?
As you know, in the Village there is only one band that matters.
