Not many posts lately. I’ve been a bit stressed out and haven’t been sleeping well. Excessive load of work. My gorgeous new iMac is taking the rest of my spare time
I’ve got a few stories in the works including the ups and downs of the new TV season.
The village itself is depressing enough. Gay bashing, mump plagues, KKK-ish/religion denying/macaca-calling local politicians, and people claiming fireballs shoot through the local skies…all in a village of 40,000. I guess these are just things that happen in the number one city in America. So Very Virginia.

If you happen to live near downtown C-Ville you would think WW3 has started with the number of sirens zooming all around. Wonder what really happened?
The other thing going on down here is the 2nd show in a row at the musical marshmallow in which the noise level has been DRASTICALLY higher than it has the entire spring/summer. Have the village elders decided local residents no longer care? Did they all go deaf at the DBM concert? Did the batteries on the sound level meters get low and no one could figure out how to change them?
Village elders…listen to me….turn down the damn volume on the marshmallow!
The music from it is louder than the music playing on the sound system inside La Taza. Perhaps the Crapshawinator has decided he once again runs the village. Perhaps he is peeved that the deal for the X Lounge didn’t go through. Ugh. Will nothing ever change?

This is my first post to outskirts from my new iMac. I’m sitting on the couch with my wireless keyboard and mouse. The iMac is about five feet away. I’m so disconnected from the beast. Feels neat. I haven’t even tried the remote control yet. I have the brightness of the screen set to minimum - the screen really cranks out the light, so on a bright day this thing is still sweet. The screen is SO big. So nice.
First steps…install mysql and php for local development. In the process download some basic freeware apps that are needed. I’m keeping a few notes
This weekend I’ll really have time to play with and see what it can do.

So the iMac took the slow truck from Memphis to the village and arrived at the fedex facility 7 minutes ago. Will they get it out for delivery today? That is the big question..

I wonder what Goat Parker would have done with the Captain’s genitalia while he was enjoying a pill or a line?
I wonder how that would compare to what Colonel Mustard might do in the conservatory with a candlestick? Or Miss Scarlet in the library with a revolver?

The Fins (now 1-2) managed to squeak out victory against the 0-3 Titans. I love the win, but Culpepper still looked as swift footed as a Redwood. Can they beat Houston next week? Will Harrington get in to the game? Can the offensive line ever figure out how to run block? Will the offense ever look half way decent?
They won. I’ll take that for now.

Yet another day where it is over 80F with 98% humidity by 10am. I guess people love this here in Virginia. I guess they also enjoy torture that goes on year round. I think I’ve been baked like a Virginia ham. Time for the second shower of the day. I won’t go outside again. I’m not wild about three showers/day.

I’m really tired. My replacement iMac just left Anchorage so I think it will be here on Monday (Tuesday at the latest). Tomorrow I’ll go run a 5k at 8am. Very early.
We’ll see how that goes. The first 5k since last May. Can I get in under 22 minutes? Hope so. Goal will be 21:30 for this first run of the fall. Very hilly 5k. I’ll let you know if I survive.
Update: I didn’t quite make my goal, but did finish in less than 22. 2nd in my age group, 11th overall. Notice that 2 * 11 = 22. I wonder if that is meaningful. It was a very humid and windy morning. Very good turnout for a first time event. My iMac is now in the international shipment facility (aka customs) in Indianapolis. Could it possibly make it here on Monday?

Scattered reports indicate a large number of police cars had sealed off a portion of the Friendly Court earlier today. Further details (aka links) will be posted if additional info becomes available (aka something actually gets reported).

Most people in this village always seem to be in a state of ecstasy because the place is so ideal for life. I reckon the real reason is that the locals enjoy just a bit of E from time to time.
What is the recommended dosage of E? A thousand pills would probably last awhile. I wonder how quickly a person could turn over $25k worth of the goods. I guess someone will be hung out to dry with all these tidbits of knowledge.
For some pointers on E be sure to get hooked.
