I’m really tired. My replacement iMac just left Anchorage so I think it will be here on Monday (Tuesday at the latest). Tomorrow I’ll go run a 5k at 8am. Very early.
We’ll see how that goes. The first 5k since last May. Can I get in under 22 minutes? Hope so. Goal will be 21:30 for this first run of the fall. Very hilly 5k. I’ll let you know if I survive.
Update: I didn’t quite make my goal, but did finish in less than 22. 2nd in my age group, 11th overall. Notice that 2 * 11 = 22. I wonder if that is meaningful. It was a very humid and windy morning. Very good turnout for a first time event. My iMac is now in the international shipment facility (aka customs) in Indianapolis. Could it possibly make it here on Monday?

That 5k is going right by my house. If I weren’t at work, I’d be running in it. My kids might be outside to cheer people on as they go by. I was amused to see the marker they spray painted in the street in front of my house: it’s a 5k race, but they marked the spot as the 1.5 mile spot.
We love miles in this country, even with 5k, 8k, and 10k races as the common ones. I would get confused with a marker every 1km, although I’d like my first few split times

My iMac has cleared customs and has left Indy. Next stop Richmond, then sitting in my house Monday evening…I hope…
The iMac took the Memphis route. It has been sitting there all day. I hope it leaves before 10pm tonite, otherwise I’ll be waiting until Tuesday
Whoop, whoop…it left Memphis.
