I’ve heard that there is a meeting this week amongst the masters of the mall to discuss many things, such as when trucks can deliver things to the PEDESTRIAN mall (that has two roads running across it). Will this soon be the scene on the mall? Do all the drivers want to work in the late/wee hours of the day?
If you’ll notice in the photo, there is a lot of trash piled up. I really would like it if the village elders would get rid of the ‘no dumpsters anywhere’ policy on the mall (or at the least I’ve heard rumors of that). Currently piles and piles of garbage bags get placed on every single intersection on the mall. Every day I walk past piles of leftover food from the day before. Animals often get in to them and things get spread across a full block.
There must be a better solution. Right? Now, out to dig through the bags of goodies and see what I can find tonight.

Couple of info points for the eruidite consideration of those on the verge of ennui!
1. The city tried to get 6 centralized dumpsters stationed around the mall for all to use and was torn to bits by the residents and business owners.
2. Dumpters are allowed as the three for the buidling behind me will attest to as well as the one parked in Water street by York place every morning at 5AM.
3. Do the residents really want the huge dumpster trucks to be banging away with the amount of noice they provide at 0400? Well, duh! Them suckers makes some noise.
Sigh, problems are simpler found that solved. Like when you go to a computer guru and they just laugh at ones puny PC….
The dump trucks of garbage don’t seem to mind rolling through the rest of the village before the sun comes up. I’ll bet the business owners didn’t want to have to walk more than 30 feet to throw their garbage away.
Mmm…during the five hours with no power tonite I enjoyed dinner out of one bag I found. Tasted like the remains of a $10 meat loaf.
You wjant noise, listen to the guys dumping the recule bins filed with empty vino bottles at 6AM. I remain certain that after putting out 1.5 million for a high end condo the lovely sound of crashing smashing bottles early in the day on a Sat morning is delightful.
But the dumpster drivers do go earlier than the garbage turcks.
Being woken up before 6, every time they dump that dumpster next to York Place, I can attest to the early hour of dumpster collection. And the dumpster isn’t even FOR York Place. It’s for the apartment building over Gravity. Thanks, guys! Garbage collection is around 7, on the mall. I’m expected to put stickers on my garbage and carry it a block and a half away, to an alley. Thirty feet to a dumpster would be a vacation, compared to that.
You are so strange, Doc, dinner out of a bag…
GROSS!
