The Fins went with a wide receiver that has had foot injuries lately. They could have taken QB Quinn (and they certainly need a QB). Was this a critical error? Was it brilliant? Ugh. I don’t like it. Who will they get for QB later in the draft? Will they trade up to get someone? Will they just wait until the 2nd round and take whoever is left? Hmm…
Pretty much every Fin fan is in shock right now.

Selecting Ginn was STUPID. Like 2+2=5 stupid. Miami should have taken Quinn. They need a QB, and even if they don’t want to keep him, trade him for 2-4 other guys you DO want. STUPID STUPID STUPID.
The big problem is that Quinn doesn’t really seem to be worth that much. At the earliest he’ll now be taken in the 20’s. The Fins also need people at WR, OL, and OL (yes…I said that twice).
I’m willing to lay money that the Fins get the Stanford, BYU, or MSU QB in the 2nd round (better ROI), or if they thought he was worth it, they have enough picks to get back to the first round and get Quinn.
Won’t know the outcome for a few years
And Cleveland made the move…two first round: OL and QB. They seem to have two key ingredients for the future. Winners of the draft I would say.
I am interested in seeing how Quinn does. He really looked dumb at times last season.
Browns were indeed big winners yesterday. As for Quinn, sure no QB is going to be perfect, but he carried his team to the Sugar Bowl. Would have been a very different season without him. I wish him well, and I think he will enjoy playing in his home state.
Niners made some crafty trades yesterday: trading away their first round pick next year for Staley then getting one BACK from Indianapolis by giving them this years’ second-round pick. Very Walsh-ian of Nolan.
