One thing that cracks me up is the efficiency of the city taxes. Every six months you owe taxes for things such as a car, a house, a computer, etc. It would seem efficient to just send me one bill, but instead I get three. Every single one of them has the amount due and then a nice big statement saying I can pay online with my credit card on the city web site. That seems nice. Oh wait…look at the tiny print. The city will charge a convenience fee for all credit card transactions.
I guess that explains why I got three bills rather than one. Great return on investment, since many people can’t afford to pay all these bills from spare cash. Now, please pay me a small pittance of $2 for reading this.

Tax for a computer???? I’m…stunned. really.
They call it technology tax. It has to do with the fact that I make 20 bucks or so every year doing something with my computer.
