The most expensive comedy ever made was filmed here in the outskirts of Charlottesville. Almost everyone in town was an extra in one form or another. I wonder if the fact that the movie was associated with Virginia is the reason it was a total flop at the box office. $200+ million to make, $32 million for the opening weekend. That has Virginia written all over it.

Yeah, the concept was pretty poor and I heard the movie wasn’t that funny. What do you expect from a mediocre tribal tale about a guy that fits 2 of every animal on a boat for 40 days? The only possible funny plot I could think of is that there is a god and he is a smartass, who does this just to make a fool of “Evan”. Then he pops out of the (burning) bushes and yells, “Punked!” (Maybe wearing a John Deere hat.)
