White substance in C-Ville post office! Will it be something of interest? Will it be some flour left over from a post office party?
I was actually getting ready to rip on the downtown post office since the mailboxes continue to have more ludicrous pickup hours. According to the post office the last pickup during the week is now 4pm (that is the only one of the day), and on Saturday the world seems to shut down at 1pm. Perhaps someone else was also peeved that mail gets picked up around here as often as it did at the start of The Postman.
In any event…can the village make national news? I don’t think that has happened since the master of macaca babbled away like a good old boy.
As soon as I heard this on the morning news, I wondered if they were responding to white powder on the sidewalk. Someone threw white powder in spots on the sidewalks all over town over the weekend. It looked like flour to me.
Don’t even get me started on ridiculous mail pick up times. 4:00pm the only pick-up time? On weekdays? At the downtown post office? That is pathetic. And I am so sick of my home–home being Belmont– mail being delivered at 6:00PM. Sometimes the mail carrier does not bother to pick up outgoing mail, which it is my understanding he is required to do.
