I remember sitting around back in the drought of ‘01. Restrictions took place. Plans for the future were discussed. I remember the drought of ‘03. Same thing. Discussion. Now it is the drought of ‘07. Restrictions. Discussion. Absolutely nothing has happened in all these years. At one point they said dredging the local reservoir would help out and wouldn’t be that difficult. Doesn’t seem to have happened.

Now people say we have a plan. Something might get done by 2011. But a few more public meetings are needed. Rates will have to go up. Plans will then have to be adjusted. Screw this discussion. Quadruple the water rates and do something with the money. Provide water. If TJ waited this long to do things we’d have no clue about a tiny little thing called the Declaration of Independence.
