OK…I’m still trying to catch up on the new shows of the 2007 season. At this point there are only two worth watching this year as far as I’m concerned. The listing below is unedited and are just my notes on things, so take them for what they are worth (is anything on this blog worth anything?).

Chuck: True winner of a show done by McG and Josh Schwartz (The OC). Combine Seth (from The OC) with James Bond and add Pussy Galore and a Mac and you have this new show. I fear it has too much “smart humor” in it to make it, but I’m going to give it a good chance. I call this one the winner of the new season.

Bionic Woman: Goner. Similar to Heros, with no clear target audience. No focus. Midseason.

The Big Bang Theory: Ultimate disaster of a show. If it makes it past midseason I would really be shocked.

Dirty Sexy Money: This Dynasty/Dallas sort of show is looking rather popular this year. The pilot went a bit overboard trying to set up the basic premise for the show and was a bit annoying at points, but the acting of Peter Krause will keep me watching for a bit. Can the show make it a full year? A bit debatable. I’ll go with yes. This is number 2 of new shows this season.

Hot Shots: Dallas/Dynasty-ish with some Desparate Househusbands thrown in. Nothing hooked me. A lot of good bit actors in this show. Script jumped far too often, had a few fun moments, but really dragged out for long periods at a time. The geek from Sports Night is my favorite character of the bunch. Don’t think it will survive for the full season.

Private Practice: Ugh. This show should have been cancelled before it even started.Grey’s Anatomy ran of energy during the first season and now it is trying to spin off one of the least interesting characters. Will be gone by midseason.

Life: Rather humorous twist for a cops show with a rich cop who got framed, spent years in prison, and is now out with a Sandra Bullock-ish sidekick. It has a bit of the Prison Break mentality in it as the rich cop is a bit osessive about finding out who originally framed him. He is working on becoming a master of zen in the process of all this.

Women’s Murder Club: Zzzzz….Women cops, murders,…interest waned in first 5 minutes after the body fell from the sky.

Samantha Who?: A few humorous moments, but nothing that makes you want to see another episode.
