Reebok commercial might have been my favorite from the game
The Perfect Season lives on for another season!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a mother f*cking great game. It makes up for the 1-15 Fins season…at least in a small way.
Here are my thoughts half way through the halftime show.
Does anyone have any doubt who will win? Welker should be the target of every pass.
Is this the most boring halftime show ever? Since the Janet Jackson clothing malfunction the halftime shows have gone downhill (except of course for Prince).
FedEx commercial with the gigantic birds was good. The Bud horse training to the Rocky music was probably my favorite. The Audi commercially certainly targeted upper middle class white men that remember the reference to the horse. And speaking of target audience, the commercial with the shaving guy “looking for his target” was also funny.
The saddest commercial was the one for the HD DVD format. They should just wave the flag and realize Blu-ray won the war. And of course all the FOX Nascar commercials. Why don’t they just make that a one hour show every week where you show the crashes and the last lap? And of course all the fights in the pit.
The NFL Network showed the Super Bowl when the Dolphins had a perfect season last night. Wow.
Seems as if Al Groh has pulled in a new QB who will probably become the immediate starter for another 0.500 ball team (that of course is optimistic).
Pretty easy to get a new QB when the current one flunked out. Hmm…where should I go to school? I think I’ll go to UVA where I can be a starter. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
I hope this player is a bit ’sharper’ than Groh…if you know what I mean. Speaking of which, when is UVA going to buy him out of his contract? How many coaches are we currently paying that aren’t at this school?
But the flunked players can always make it to the NFL…just go try out with the Fins. You have at least a 50/50 shot of making it this year (and of course I’m sure they’ll be in the Super Bowl next year).
The Fins went down in grand style yet again. They may be the worst team in the history of the NFL. Very debatable. In any event, the first firings will probably happen tomorrow. Happy new year…now go find a new job…
The last two drives by Beck were certainly a possible look at the future. A rookie center hiking to a rookie quarterback. The fullback and tailback in the game were rookies. Passes were getting thrown to a rookie receiver. Lots of rookies.
Sure will be interesting to see who is left next year after the Tuna starts the “process” of rebuilding. Now I just have to wait nine months for the next real game.
So the one game win streak that the Fins had was amazing. I’m still trying to relive that glory, but today they are back to normal. Losing. Lose. Loss. Maybe the one game winning streak will start again next week.
Dolphins 22 Ravens 16
For the first time in more than a year the Fins managed to win in overtime. Do you believe in miracles? Can it possibly get better than this? Perhaps this is seeing the last light before death pops up.
It’s really hard to comprehend what a miserable team the Dolphins have become. They are the Washington Generals of the NFL. The number of injuries continues to mount. Only half of the opening day team is still walking. They’ve lost one starting QB, two starting linebackers, three starting running backs, four starting safeties, five starting lineman, and their swimming mammal in a palm tree.
When is the Ghost of Seasons Yet to Come going to show up in my dreams?
It is really hard to comprehend how bad the Fins are. I’m sure all the 76 Bucs are getting ready to pop a cork at the end of this season.
When does the 2008 schedule come out? I need to start looking for the first game that the Fins could win. Do they get to play Duke next year? Or maybe Notre Dame. Or a bad middle school team.
Watch out New England. 14-0 Pats vs. 0-14 Fins. That has all the makings of a 100 point blowout by the Pats, or the biggest upset in the history of the NFL. Has there ever been a 28 game differential between two football teams (at ANY level)? My guess is no. And at the end of that game…a 30 game differential. Wow.
I sure hope some other team wants Adrian Peterson, cause the Fins need to make a trade for 20 or so players/draft picks. Grim. Ugly. Brutal. Misery. More or less like living in C-Ville.
I still haven’t gotten over the Fins loss to the Steelers. It was another Snowplow Game. Crushing. Of course with 14 straight losses now I really continue to wonder what a win would feel like. I can’t even remember what it feels like.
The shock of the day is brought to your by Vegas. The Fins are currently favored in the game this weekend against the Jets.
From a realistic standpoint, this is without a doubt the best chance for a win this year. I’m still holding out for the Fins to beat the unbeaten Pats in game 15. We’ll see how that goes…
